Nature follows Industry

Nature follows Industry
Through cyanotype and collage, I explore Pittsburgh’s present-day botanical life in Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, and Point Breeze—neighborhoods once shaped by the industrial fortunes of Carnegie and Frick. Layering textures, history, and light, I weave together fragments of the city’s past and present, honoring both what was built and what continues to grow. Each piece reflects a dialogue between human ambition and nature’s quiet, persistent resilience.
